Police Brutality Caught On Tape 5/13/09

May 14, 2009

I suppose the LA Police still haven’t learned their lesson from the Rodney King beating that caused the 1992 riots.

In this video police pursued a suspect that finally gave himself up. I guess that the cop felt annoyed that he had to chase him so he kicked him square in the head. All of the events were caught on camera by a Fox News helicopter.

Under new terrorism laws politicians are trying to make it illegal to video tape policemen. Remember that these video tapes are our only defense against policemen brutality. It will just become your word against theirs. Make sure you support the freedom of the press and help weed out these bad cops.

Homeless on the streets of Calgary

Calgary Homeless

It is becoming more and more obvious that the big issues dominating the media these days has been the economy and job loss. For me the issue of having a job was never the problem, it was having a job that paid enough to cover the bills. No one likes working 9hour days, five days a week knowing that no matter how hard they work they will still come short on paying the bills. We all know the story, guy takes out loans to cover the rent and soon takes out too much and is forced to declare bankruptcy. It happens all the time, and it could happen to anyone rich or poor because of the simple – equation spend more than income = disaster. The problem here isn’t that there aren’t enough jobs, it’s that there aren’t enough jobs that pay enough.

There can only be two solutions to this problem. 1. Increase the minimum wage or wages in general. or 2. Decrease the cost of living. You could even combine the two so that they meet somewhere in the middle.

Free Electricity!

April 24, 2009

It’s amazing that you can literally take electricity out of thin air! The circuitry requires a little knowhow but it is simple enough for the average person. In case you were curious the ‘Power Extractor’ takes energy produced by radio wave that are just floating around. It doesn’t produce a whole lot of juice but it was enough, in this demonstration, to charge a cell phone. They should just have these built in so that cell phones could charge themselves.

TV Reporter Arrested In Texas

April 24, 2009

Not sure what this guy was doing wrong so it’s a good thing it was all caught on camera. The man was filming a traffic accident when he was told by police to turn off the camera. Freedom of the press laws are very clear on the matter so he continue filming. He was arrested and later released with an apology.

Some lawmakers in Britain and the United States are trying to challenge the freedom of the press laws to allow policemen the right to refuse filming in certain situations. If this were to happen things could quickly fall into full out tyranne.

Dog Shit Ends Hopeful Plastic Bag Ban In Calgary

April 24, 2009

It has been announced that the idea of banning plastic bags in the city of Calgary, Alberta, Canada was full of shit, literally. Pet owners claimed that banning plastic bags would make pick up shit after their dogs more difficult resulting in more fines. In a dog loving city like Calgary, that could be an unnecessary burden on the maintenance of parks.

This is the kind of news that should be an embarrassment for Calgary – the cleanest city in Canada? Mayor Dave Bronconnier was recently in a report that found it’s way onto CNN to announce that most city owned buildings and the city run LRT (light rail transit) system was now fully powered by windmills. However, at the same time Calgary citizens were upset when they learned that they would have to pay extra taxes to fun the new curb side recycling program.

Calgary should be embarrassed for their false claims of setting environmental standards. The truth is that people here could care less about the environment and they have proved it time and time again by making petty excuses for non-participation. The only thing moving Calgary into the future is a few governing officials who are reduced to trickery to establish the much needed reform in this backwards town.

American Idol Experience

April 24, 2009

Disneyworld Castle - By: Jyle Dupuis Just got back from a fun filled few days at the opening of the American Idol Experience” a new attraction opening at Walt Disney World, Florida. We stayed at the great Polynesian Resort & Spas on the Disneyworld grounds. I was very surprised at how spread out everything was. Maybe they should have rental segways available or something.

Also got to meet many of the winners and former contestants of the American Idol show from various seasons. The best part of the trip was the great people who work at Disney and their always willing to help attitude.

Thanks Disney.
